Getting Started as a URVC Volunteer!

With or without a University of Minnesota connection, whatever your stage of life, you are invited to join the University Retirees Volunteer Center (URVC). Explore the opportunities available.

As a URVC volunteer, you select the activity that appeals to you and fits your schedule. This may be a one-time event or an ongoing commitment – you make the choice!

URVC uses a volunteer management software system called Better Impact.  Access to this system (http://MyVolunteerPage.com) asks volunteers to enter a username and password.

 New Volunteers:

  • If you have NOT previously volunteered with the URVC, go to the Better Impact Application Form page by clicking on this link where you'll be able to enter a username and password of your own choosing.
  • Once you receive an email confirmation from the URVC Office (within 2-5 days), you will be able to login at MyVolunteerPage.com (click here) to view the volunteer opportunities and sign up.

Returning Volunteers:

  • If you have previously volunteered with the URVC you should have received an email message with your username and password.

     Questions?

  • If you have any problems please contact the URVC office at either [email protected] or 612-625-8016.

Volunteer Interest Profile

Once you have logged into the Better Impact volunteer management software system please fill out the Volunteer Interest Profile.  The Volunteer Interest Profile form provides information about the kinds of projects for which you would like to volunteer as well as your times of availability.  You may change your profile and/or projects preference at any time.

It is important that you provide contact information so the URVC Office Staff can communicate with you when needs arise for the kind of opportunities you are seeking.
